Jack is an internationally recognized Western master of floral arranging and a Sensei (teacher) in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. He was an invited floral designer for the Academy Awards, Pasadena Rose Parade, four presidential inaugurations and arranged for Queen Elizabeth and Queen Noor of Jordan. Jack has demonstrated and taught floral arranging throughout the U.S., Canada, South America, Asia and Europe and is known for his innovative “perishable sculptures,” and natural Northwest style.
Jack will demonstrate some of his traditional and untraditional floral sculptures using everyday materials such as peonies, irises, lilies and transform them into fabulous floral art forms. He will open your mind to a new way of looking at flowers by, for example, weaving flax and branches to create a unique floral art statement. This is Jack’s “last hurrah” demonstration before he moves to Mexico. This is an event not to be missed! For more information contact Anne at 503-371-7289
