“Toolish” Talks
Bob Denman, the inveterate tool designer of Red Pig Garden Tools, is back by popular demand!
Last year I missed Bob’s presentation and then I heard from several people that it had been a really lively, fun, and informative show…that’s right, not just a presentation but a road show, so to speak, not to be missed. So, after hearing from several of you that a return would be most welcome, I got Bob to agree to come down and shower us with his toolish pearls of wisdom.
For those of you who didn’t attend the presentation last year, here is a very short synopsis of our speaker’s background: he is the only blacksmith in the United States specializing in the forging of garden tools. Bob is also a tool designer and has several inventions which have been awarded U.S. patents. As a former journalist and copywriter he has written articles for Fine Gardening, Horticulture, and Sunset, just to name a few. In addition, he is a product development consultant for Corona Clipper Company, America’s leading manufacturer of professional pruning tools. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, he is also a grateful escapee from California who now calls Boring his happy place of abode.
So, come and join us for an evening of enlightenment on garden ergonomics that will be kinder to your back and knees. There will be a few hand tools on display that you may be able to purchase. So, on that note, make sure to bring your checkbook!
